Hailing from Kelowna, B.C., 22 year-old Walt Mudie seeks to express the ambiguity present in everyday life through melody, rhythm, & texture. The Wedding sound is littered with contrasting stylistic choices. Washy electronic music, angular indie rock, and alternative hip hop all peek through the haze in Mudie’s eclectic production, pointing to his experiences working in each respective musical style. His music is as much inspired by dreamy acts, like Broadcast and Alex G, as it is by acoustic music, such as Andy Shauf and Joni Mitchell.
