INNER HARBOUR JAZZ (6-8PM)
From classic jazz by artists such as Carmen McCrae and Billie Holiday, to more modern sounds inspired by Diana Krall and Cassandra Wilson
Nathalie Craan and Dave Beckstead have been performing together for more than 30 years in a variety of formats including duo, trio and larger ensembles up to full big bands. Their music encompasses classic jazz performed with modern twists and contemporary music with a jazz aesthetic.
They have performed in Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. Highlights include a US State Department, “Jazz Ambassadors” tour of Madagascar, an 8-year house gig at Beijing’s CD Jazz Café, a performance at the Forbidden City Concert Hall as part of the Beijing, Nine Gates Jazz Festival and a 5-year association with Redbones Blues Café in Kingston, Jamaica, and now call Kingston, Ontario home.
