A solo set from Silver Pools‘ Todd Macdonald.  Silver Pools is a post-punk duo from Toronto, Canada that blends symbolist poetry and protest song with lush synths, electric guitar & mandolin, and a hypnotic drum machine named Oscar.

The band began as Todd Macdonald’s solo project in 2016 and experimented with different lineups until he met Adrienne McLaren at a house party jam in 2018. The two bonded over bands like The Cure, Sonic Youth, Spookey Ruben and Cocteau Twins and began writing songs together.

Their sophomore album Chroma was released on Modern Laundry Recording Club in the Summer of 2020. Currently, the duo is recording new songs and touring Canada in the Spring and Summer of 2023.
