THE STRANGE HAPPENINGS are a psych/garage band from Wolfe Island, Ontario. Originally formed in 2016, The Strange Happenings pull from a wide range of influences. Kraut Rock, Prog, Punk and Metal. Fronted with classical 60s revival vocals and a black hole inducing Maxi-Korg/Acetone combo. These long hairs are often heard drenched in fat, spacey guitar tone wavering in and out of pocket contrasted against a relentless rhythm section paying homage to the forefathers of motorik and polyrhythm. With influences of early Pink Floyd, Can, Hawkwind, Simply Saucer, Meshuggah, & OH Sees. A swampy blend of ear catching grooves, druidic 6 string spells and a miasmatic soup of atmospheres.
