Meagan Aversa / Danny Sheahan / Nat Resi
A Sunday matinee show not to miss!
3:00pm, $15/PWYC
Meagan Aversa:
Singer-songwriter Meagan Aversa melts dreamy and dark tones together to shape her introspective songs. Growing up, she found solace in Toronto’s music scene and aspired to someday produce records. Drawing inspiration from artists including Elliott Smith, Fiona Apple, and The Cure, she began writing music while in high school. Aversa went on to graduate from Metalworks Institute’s Audio Engineering and Mixing and Mastering programs. In addition to her own music, she is a freelance audio engineer and producer based out of Candle Recording Studio in Toronto’s west end. Her self-released debut EP ‘Matchbox’ illustrates themes of co-dependency and internalized conflict, and how the two simultaneously result in self-destruction.
Danny Sheahan (Wallace):
Toronto’s Danny Sheahan is an electroacoustic composer and musicologist whose dark ambient works pull inspiration from drone and shoegaze music. For his performance, Wallace will utilize the venue’s Steinway piano in creating an improvised piece melding electronics, vocals, and the piano.
