China Cat Riders + Special Guests

A Grateful Dead tribute band from Kingston, The China Cat Riders formed out of a reunion of Hurricane Bob, who played around the city in the early nineties. Band members—Adam Hodge, Kevin Bowers, Dan Curtis, Wes Garland and Pete Bowers—are all veterans of the Kingston music scene, and have a common love of The Dead.

From January 5 to 18, the Piano Room at the Hotel has been turned into a Wolfe Island Records recording studio to record multiple new album projects. The China Cat Riders are delighted to have the Wolfe Island Records crew open the show, which means there will be a pile of players to join the boys for some tunes over the course of the night. Chris Brown, Rocky Roberts, and Sarah McDermott are regular satellite members of the China Cats, but we may get more special guests on the 19th.
