Sophie Ogilvie / Anthea Feaver
Sophie Ogilvie is a singer and songwriter based in Montréal, Quebec. Approaching songwriting with the confessional lyricism of folk and an indie rock penchant for pop song structures, Ogilvie’s sound is set apart by her deft command of the voice. As lead singer of dreampop band Helen Paradise, Ogilvie graced the stage with Lena Platonos, Weaves, and Jaunt, amongst others. Her debut solo EP Coming Up, Crocus (2023) moved fluidly between downtempo, singer-songwriter, and R&B genres, reaching audiences on programs like CBC’s Afterdark with Odario Williams and Breakaway, and Exclaim!’s ‘Eh! List.’ Resignations (January 2025) sees Ogilvie turning darker, balancing harsh guitar tones and rich, sultry vocals. The sophomore EP marks the solidification of Ogilvie’s unique writing and playing style. She will be joined on stage by Sarah Feldman (drums) and Catlin Kuyzk (guitar, bass).
