Wolfe Island Records & Friends showcase!

Local dummer extraordinaire Pete Bowers has put together this Wolfe Island Records & Friends showcase! You won’t want to miss these all star players from 7-9pm on our beautiful waterfront patio. Proceeds will go to support the Pros and Cons prison arts program.

Opening the set, Pete’s brothers Kevin and Jeff Bowers will lead off the music with a few of Jeff’s songs with Kev, Pete and some others backing up.

THE ROPES

The Ropes is Hugh Christopher Brown (songs, vox, keys, guitars), Jason Mercer (bass) and Pete Bowers (drums), but often have friends join in studio and on stage. They are most active as the “house band” for many acts recording at Chris Brown’s Wolfe Island Records. This is their first show as a trio in a quite a while. They will play some songs from their 2020 self-titled album, some from Chris Brown’s solo albums and some tasty covers.

After an intermission, The Ropes will back up Rocky & Friends for some of his tunes. Additional musical friends to be expected.

ROCKY & FRIENDS

Rocky Roberts, touring guitar technician for the likes of Neil Young, Wilco, Patti Smith, CSNY, Paul Simon, Lucinda Williams, Nils Lofgren, and My Morning Jacket, brings his own rootsy sound to the stage with the help of his Wolfe Island musical family.

Rocky’s new EP, Pieces of Time, was to enthusiastic critical acclaim. The first single, Buck Moon, features Norah Jones & Carl Broemel (My Morning Jacket):
