Youth Gonna Rock! Two Great Bands, One Awesome Night!
It has been said that Napanee is Greater for Many Reasons and one of those reasons is a youth-led rock revival featuring two local bands…
Bob Shmurkley: Bob Shmurkley is a newly formed 6-piece band from Napanee District Secondary School whose energetic live performances include a mix of covers and original songs. This is a young band of performers to watch and say, “you saw them when!” The lineup includes: Ethan Stein (vocals), Isaac Tanner (bass), Chloe Ferguson (flute & bass), Isaac Henry (guitar), Cooper Lazier (drums), and Andrew Daily (keys).
Switzerville Sound Machine:
Switzerville Sound Machine is the first youth band to emerge from the Harmony Lounge & Music Club—Eastern Ontario’s only not-for-profit youth rock band program. SSM covers of a wide range of tunes from classic rock to rap. The lineup includes students from Napanee District Secondary School and Ernestown Secondary School: Hayden Leduc (vocals), Joseph Hauser (guitar), Isaac Harvey (keys), Julia MacDermiad (Bass), Owen MacMillan (drums), Jade Peters (vocals). The future of rock is in good hands with these young rock-and-rollers.
