Spencer Evans & The Gumbo Trio

The Gumbo Trio pays tribute to New Orleans and will feature Oscar Evans on trumpet and drums, Sylvain Gagnon on bass and trombone, and Spencer Evans on vocals clarinet and piano.

Father and son musical stalwarts Spencer and Oscar Evans with special guest Sylvain Gagnon present an evening of New Orleans music for the heart and soul! Spencer sings and plays piano, clarinet, and accordion. Sylvain plays bass and trombone while Oscar plays drums and trumpet. From the traditional Jazz sound of three horns celebrating the music of Preservation Hall, the Second Line, Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong, and many other pillars of  New Orleans Jazz  to entertaining and infectious sounds of classic Rhythm and Blues, Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, Cajun and Zydeco songs and of course New Orleans funk and contemporary songs by Allan Toussaint, Jon Cleary, Dr.John, and the Funky Meters.
